Createch Design was founded in 1987 by Pierre Legault. At that time, the company specialized in the manufacturing of metal and melamine furniture.

The products sold are mainly dining room furniture, metal beds and chairs on balls.

The company obtains a contract with Loto Quebec for the realization of more than 5000 stools and chairs for the casinos of Quebec.

Cédric Legault joins the family business as project manager. With a degree in automated production engineering, he initiated a major shift to modernize the company in terms of computerization and automation.

The company, which mainly manufactures metal furniture, acquires a numerically controlled machining center and develops wood and metal bedroom furniture. A few years later, the collection was expanded to include home theater furniture.

The company wins a tender to manufacture the Ludoplex stools for Loto-Québec.

The company is sold to Cédric Legault and relocated to Granby. At this time, the company takes the opportunity to add equipment to improve productivity and production capacity. Several new collections of bedroom furniture and home theater are added.

The company continues to manufacture residential furniture, but regularly undertakes commercial projects on its own and by winning calls for tenders.

We have realized many projects of all sizes. The most famous are Loto-Québec, Le cirque du soleil, Château Mont St-Anne, Le collège militaire de St-Jean, L’école Nationale de police du Québec. As of 2016, the company is increasing commercial projects and decreasing sales efforts in the residential sector.

The company makes major investments. New offices, reorganization of the factory, modernization of design and programming software, updating of the computer system. The purchase of a new edgebander with numerical control increases the production capacity but also the quality of the finish. Our new edgebander is equipped with a polyurethane (PUR) glue system. Most woodworking shops use EVA glue that reactivates when heated and can therefore peel off. The PUR we use is catalyzed and after 72 hours, it cannot be removed.

In addition, it leaves a much thinner and less visible glue joint. In 2020, the new equipment will allow us to carry out several large-scale projects, including the CHSLD in Granby, which has 176 rooms, and projects in the medical sector.

We completely abandon residential furniture and the company carries out several large-scale commercial projects.
